It's only 15 minutes from New Paltz. The Hudson River Walkway is a little over a mile, and doesn't require any sort of legitimate hiking gear!

for any ice climbers interested, I looked up the weather for New Paltz this weekend, low-mid 40s saturday and sunday, and some rain/snow tomorrow afternoon. That might affect whatever people wanted to do once we got there, but nobody has brought up any ideas, so thats where that stands... dress warm, and please let me know if you have any last minute ideas for tomorrow afternoon!!! - - Chels
